What's New in Version 0.3.84

This section contains information about the new features and changes in the Management Console introduced in version 0.3.84.

Welcome to Management Console version 0.3.84! In this release, we have introduced a new tutorial for first installation and enhanced the backend capabilities for helm values.yaml and kubernetes secrets. We’ve also added functionality for flashing USB sticks with our iPXE image, transmitting additional debug information, and event tracking. Our Management Console now features pop-ups for microservices on device overview page, faster installation speed, and reduced log size. We’ve also addressed several bugs that improve the overall usability of the Management Console.

First Installation Tutorial

We’ve added a tutorial to guide you through the process of setting up a local instance and then opening and using NodeRed and Grafana.

Backend Enhancements

Our backend is now capable of retrieving and modifying the helm values.yaml. This enables future stack management features. Additionally, the backend can now request device Kubernetes secrets, further enhancing the user experience.

USB Sticks Flashing

You can now flash USB sticks with our iPXE image directly from the Management Console. Please note that this requires a USB stick with at least 4GB capacity, and the new device needs to be manually added to the MgmtConsole by importing the kubeconfig.

Debug Information Transmission

We’ve added an optional feature that allows you to transmit additional debug information to us. This feature is disabled by default but can be enabled for troubleshooting purposes.

Install Speed

We’ve worked on improving our installation process. As a result, the installation speed has been significantly increased.

Microservices Pop-ups

We’ve added pop-ups for microservices on the device overview page. These pop-ups contain crucial information such as ports, configurations, login credentials, help links, and more.

Event Tracking

We’ve added event tracking to help us better understand user behavior and improve the product. This feature is enabled by default.

  • Docker is now checked before verifying if the stack is installed locally.
